Project Objective

The objective of this project is to develop a numerical model (finite element model) of a geosynthetic reinforced flexible pavement where the geosynthetic is located in the base aggregate.

Project Abstract

This project is an extension of earlier experimental work supported by the Montana State Department of Transportation (MDT). This experimental work consisted of the construction, instrumentation, loading and monitoring of pavement test sections reinforced with geosynthetics.
